Our friends from church invited Stephen Jr. to play on their baseball team this Spring. If you can believe this, Stephen had never even seen a baseball game before. So, this was a brand spanking new experience for him. He really enjoyed learning a new sport and making new friends.
If you haven't noticed, this blog has recently become more of a family journal and scrap book of sorts than a business blog. While I do have a family blog, it's just a little too hard to keep up with both. So, thank you for putting up with these personal blog posts. I hope you've enjoyed the little peak into my little world. Next week promises to hold a professional posting or two.
Just a warning: This one's a long one, so bear with me. I promise this - My love for and dedication to excellent photography will ALWAYS shine through.
Here are some pictures from the last game (and a couple from their first mixed in).
Enjoy!
Here they are. The 2010 Reynold's Rangers (taken while poking around the coach's wife's shoulders - not exactly ideal).
I did my best to snap a candid picture of all Stephen's team mates. Unfortunately, I think a few slipped under the radar gun. Here are the ones I did manage to track down.
Of course, there's only one player on the team that can be considered my favorite. Stephen Jr. looks adorable in Ranger blue, don't you think?
Here he is in action. Pictures don't lie. Both on and off the field, it's safe to say our firstborn had a great time playing baseball this Spring!
Baseball Ready!
I think the dugout was his favorite!
He hits, and a runner scores! Way to go, Stephen!
Though league rules say no one keeps score at this age. We all know everyone does. Ahem...you didn't hear this from me, but I just HAVE to brag - just a little. Our Reynold's Rangers team finished the season undefeated!!!!
Here are the boys in blue in action. We are very blessed Stephen has found such a great group of boys (and fantastic coaches) to play with this year. We look forward to many more season to come.
For the last game of the season, Stephen Jr. had some very special guests in the bleachers to cheer him on - his Nana and Poppa (my parents) from Indiana. Living far away from both sides of our family, this was a VERY special occasion.
Stephen wasn't the only one to make new friends this Spring. Alden became fast friends with one of Stephen's teammate's little sister Kate. Kate and Alden had great fun together, and Kate was always so sweet to bring toys along (and snacks) to share with Alden.
This dog was also the highlight for Alden each week. All the younger siblings took turns loving on this dog. What a trooper that canine was.
All-in-all, EVERYONE we met this season was so nice. Not once did anyone have a bleacher outburst. How refreshing!
Here are just a few of the familiar faces we would see at games and practice each week. We're looking forward to the Fall season coming up!
Tammy, I love these pics! Beautiful memories captured by camera. Alden and Stephen are getting so big and growing so fast. They look happy and carefree as children should be.
