Photography Fun Day: Kelly's Maternity Portraits

Oh, how I needed Tuesday evening this week!

Margaret, Kelly and I got together for a very inspiring time of learning and picture taking. Our photography fun days have been way too far and few between lately, so it was great to get back to it!

Kelly just opened her studio a few months ago in Roanoke, TX, and we've been eagerly anticipating the grand tour. She shares her studio space with another photographer who recently moved to Colorado. It's such a fun, vibrant, colorful, and inspiring place to visit. We followed up our eye-opening tour with a "barely-just-in-time" maternity session for Kelly. These were all taken just steps out Kelly's studio front door.

We've been planning this trip for months now and finally got our schedules to sync - except for two of us. This time we couldn't reschedule. Though we missed Anjula and Kim, we had no time to waste as Kelly is giving birth to what promises to be an adorable baby boy on Monday morning. This evening's session was COLD! The blanket we used for keeping Kelly warm between shots turned out to be my favorite prop that night.

Newborn photography is Kelly's passion and giftedness. I can't wait to see pictures of baby Nash, Kelly. Here are a few pictures from your maternity session.

As Margaret said, "You are one Hot Mamma!"

  1. Tammy, I have already told you so many times since then, but I LOVE THESE!!! Thank you SO very much for coming over and taking these for me. You and Margaret were awesome. It's harder than it looks being on the other end of the lens! I had a great time though and these images are perfect. I can not express how wonderful they are!
    Lots of Love,
    Kelly
