Kate {Dallas, TX Photographer}

As promised here are a few more pictures from my session with Kate.  I snapped this first one while she was busy assisting during Caitlin's session.

Later Kate changed into a white sundress so I could attempt to recreate a very special portrait from her childhood.  Her mother has a portrait of her and her brother displayed on their dining room wall.  Kate was around 8 years old at the time.  She was wearing a white sundress and holding a flower.  The location: these very same steps.

We did our best to recreate the shot, but the lighting was a bit too harsh.  We were forced to do a seated pose to keep her face out of the dappled light.

While not perfect, it's still quite lovely!  Seeing her long hair really makes me miss mine!

Next, it was Kate's turn to choose her outfit.  I love these crocheted shorts and this coral color is perfect for her complexion.

 I'm not usually a black and white girl (except in my morals and opinions, LOL!).  I tend to favor color for my portrait work, but these next two converted quite well!

In case you noticed:  Yes, these are the same image.

I post them together to prove a point.  A full frame sensor with high pixels is so worth the investment!  The top image here is a cropped version of the bottom one - with no degradation to image quality.  Two images from one.  The possibilities are endless.  Creativity multiplied!

Gotta love that!

Thanks again to Kate for a great day assisting!

I love these images - such a natural beauty!
