Minding my Businss: reSTARt with Jasmine Star {Creative Live}{Jasmine Star}

Since the beginning of the year, I've been participating in a Creative Live online workshop instructed by the amazing Jasmine Star

You could say I'm learning how to "Mind My Own Business"!

My photography business - that is!

I was raised by a mother who loves to organize.  Truly.  She would gladly use her vacation days to sort through drawers and organize closets.  She retires after this school year and I have been trying to convince her to make a career out of her obsession!  She has a gift!

Well...I must share a few of her genes.  Though the closets in my home could use a little attention, my website is going through major "Spring Cleaning".

During the seminar Jasmine is walking us through the steps to take our photography businesses to the next level.  I'm learning a lot about how to define my personal style and how to use my branding and online presence to better reflect that style.

And, I'm happy to say, I'm taking great steps toward reaching that goal!

Last year I worked with my graphic designer, Jennifer Arsenault, to tweek the colors on my blog and website.  The new colors calm and energize me all at the same time.  Any time I log onto my blog or website, I'm just plain happy!  I'm loving it!  The new colors and design better reflect who I am as a person.

This past month I've been working on revamping the individual galleries on my website.  I'm cleaning out the drawers and closets of my website, you could say.  I'm approaching this project very intentionally.  I'm choosing to display only those images that reflect my personal style and those that illustrate the type of photography I enjoy most.  The first three galleries are completed.  Only three more to go!

And then there's the About Me section on my website.  That will come.  Baby steps, folks.  Baby steps.

I'm excited to see how these changes will all play out.  I'd love your input.  Stop by my website and let me know what you think.

What will you be organizing this Spring?

  1. The website is looking very good. I should take your advice and start to revamp my own. Keep up the good work. Terry Little
